Youth Learn to Play Hockey
The "Learn to Play Hockey" program builds skills in hockey, teaches rules, and is a great introduction to a sport that is gaining popularity. Basic skating skills (forward, backwards, stopping, turns) are REQUIRED so the skater can focus on hockey techniques such as stick handling, passing,and shooting. There are also small games and scrimmages to apply learned skills. Full equipment required to participate in the class. Complimentary skate rental is available for class. Our Learn to Skate programs provide the skating instruction to prepare for these classes.
- SKILL LEVEL:
Basic skating skills required! All players wishing to register must have completed and passed Learn to Skate Hockey Badges 1 and 2 or be evaluated by the hockey director to prior to registering. If a player does not meet the basic skating requirements they can be asked to return to a Learn to Skate program for additional training.
- SKILL DEVELOPMENT:
Drills, Positioning, Game Strategy
Equipment required: Full set of hockey equipment is required. This includes a Hockey helmet with full face mask, hockey gloves, shin pads, elbow pads, shoulder pads and hockey pants, and hockey stick. Complimentary skate rental is available if needed.

Family Stick & Puck
Adults are only permitted to skate with child, as sibling may be substituted with rink permission.
Full equipment for under age 18 years. Helmets required for adults. Bring your own sticks!
Sundays 12:15 - 1:45 pm. Check Today at KLA or calendar for schedule updates.
$18 per one adult with a child, $5 per additional children accompanied by a parent, $12 per single skaters

TRY HOCKEY FOR FREE DAY!

Try Hockey For Free Day is a part of Come Play Hockey Month. This program, designed to provide youth hockey associations a national platform to introduce new kids to the sport, is a joint effort between USA Hockey, the National Hockey League and NHL member clubs. Klick Lewis Arena will host a try hockey for free clinic for kids between the ages of 4 to 9.
The equipment listed is what is required for all Hockey Skills and Learn to Play Hockey classes and for Stick and Puck for anyone under the age of 18.
